Since the very start of her studio in 2008, ANNE DE GRIJFF has been reconsidering the fashion system by putting the wearers of her designs at the centre of her brand and its communication. It is these striking characters –, who recognize the quality of her work and collect her pieces, who veritably personify her brand. ANNE DE GRIJFF’s approach to the practice of fashion design is a plea for personal encounters, local production, craftsmanship and above all for personality. With her mindful slow fashion practice, Anne de Grijff contributes to the growing tendency to propagate the individual character and unique beauty of people, rather than telling them to relate to whatever elite ideal.

A designer pur sang, ANNE DE GRIJFF tends to question, examine and interrupt the basics of pattern making and by doing so she allows irregularity and asymmetry. She likes to play with the gestures inherent to the act of dressing; with veiling, unveiling and covering up again what has just been exposed. Her designs evolve in ingenious cutting, folding and layering techniques, creating volumes and exposing colour in movement.

MADE TO MEASURE – M2M, a made to measure wardrobe for national and international clientele. MADE TO ORDER – M2O, ANNE DE GRIJFF signature pieces available in S, M, L and XL, and DESIGN TO MEASURE – D2M, allowing even more space for conversation between designer and wearer.
